Due to the COVID19 pandemic, it means that Apple is holding an online global developer conference for the second year in a row. The event will be free for all developers.
WWDC 2021 details:
Last year, the online WWDC was widely praised for making the event more inclusive. According to Apple CEO Tim Cook, WWDC 2020 attracted 22 million viewers. Apple is able to provide developers with 72 hours of video content and has 4,500 person-to-person laboratories.

This is what Apple said, and we can look forward to WWDC 2021:
From June 7th to 11th, the Apple Global Developers Conference will be held. Join the global developer community, participate in an all-online program, and provide exciting announcements, conferences, and labs for free. You will first learn about the latest Apple platforms, tools and technologies so that you can create your own most innovative applications and games.
Apple stated that WWDC 2021 "will provide unique insights into the future of iOS, iPad OS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS."
Susan Prescott, Apple's vice president of developer relations, said:
"We like to gather developers together at WWDC every year to learn about our latest technology and connect it with Apple engineers. We are working hard to make WWDC21 the largest and best product to date, and we are very happy to develop it for Apple People provide new tools to support them because the applications they create will change the way we live, work, and play."
Apple said that WWDC 2021 will include keynote speeches and international alliance status events, online conferences, 1:1 experiments for developers and new ways for developers to interact with Apple engineers and designers.
What to expect from WWDC this year:
As usual, I hope that Apple will focus on its software platform at this year's WWDC. At this event, it may include announcing the release of iOS 15, iPadOS 15, watchOS 8, macOS 12 and tvOS15. Apple may also release beta versions of these new operating systems at the same time.
This year, WWDC may also include new hardware announcements for developers. Most notably, Apple is transitioning the Mac product line to Apple Silicon processors, and there are rumors that new iMac, MacBook Pro and more products are under development.
There are rumors that Apple will also develop a mixed reality helmet, which may come out as early as 2022, and Apple may announce this product at WWDC this year because it will require developers to create applications and games for the helmet.
